Security
We are very sensitive to your concerns regarding the security of using your credit cards to purchase products over the Internet. Safeguarding your privacy and confidentiality is of the utmost importance to us. We use the industry leader, PayPal, to process order information, and as such incorporate Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) which encrypts your data while it is being transferred over the Internet. This makes it very difficult for someone to steal your credit card information. We also use the latest encryption technologies to protect the security of your credit card information while we are processing your order.

Because we use PayPal's state-of-the-art ordering security technology, your credit card statement will read, “PayPal–Materious”.

Domestic Shipping
We offer $6.95 shipping on all continental US retail orders (this fee is per item). An item is understood as one package, which contains one large piggy bank and one small piggy bank. Presently we do not offer expedited/rush shipping.

International Shipping
(Outside the United States of America) Materious presently does not ship outside the United States of America.

Sales Tax
Materious collects sales tax on all orders shipped to an Illinois address. The amount of your sales tax will be calculated and displayed during the check out process.

Order Confirmation Number
Upon completing your order you will receive an order confirmation number. Please save your order confirmation number and refer to it if you need to contact Materious in regards to questions regarding your order.

Processing an Order
Your order of in-stock merchandise will generally arrive in 7 to 10 days, domestic shipping. We will notify you if any item cannot be shipped within 30 days and you will be given the option to cancel your order. Your credit card will not be charged until the product is shipped. Orders received over the weekend and on holidays are generally processed the following business day. If you are paying via Paypal, the funds will be deducted from your Paypal account when you place your order. This is a Paypal policy.

How To Change Your Order
If you find that you have made an incorrect order, please notify us immediately by sending an e-mail to info <at> materious <dot> com. If your order has not yet been processed, we may be able to correct it. However, if the product has already been shipped, we will be unable to change any portion of your order.

Order Status
Once your order is placed you will receive a confirmation email. Once your order is shipped, you will receive a confirmation email along with a tracking number.

Returns and Exchanges
If you have received damaged, defective or incorrectly shipped merchandise, please contact us via email within 30 days of receipt. We will gladly replace the merchandise without additional charge, or provide you with a full refund. If you have ordered incorrectly or are not happy with your purchase, please follow the Return/Exchange Instructions below. On these returns, original shipping and handling charges are not refundable and you will be responsible for all costs associated with return shipment. In either case, absolutely no COD returns will be accepted.

Return/Exchange Instructions

1) Please provide us with the following information in your initial email :

  • Your name and the name on the credit card used, if different
  • Your mailing address
  • Your phone number
  • Order confirmation number
  • What you are returning
  • Why you are returning
  • Clearly specify how you would like us to handle your return or exhange

2) After we receive your request we will send shipping information to you. After we have received the item, we will credit your charge card or mail new items to you.
